ABC News will launch a pre-dawn weekday newscast in New York, airing daily from 1 to 6 a.m. The program, undecided on a name, will feature two anchors not yet chosen and marks ABC’s second late night effort after Nightline. It will compete with CNN’s 24 hour service and CBS Nightwatch, which began in 1982.
