Correction notes missing names in Ottawa award photo caption
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment official Mark Girard and Environmental Protection Agency official Dennis Gram were left off a photo caption in Thursday’s paper. They were in town to help honor Ottawa’s water distribution and waste water treatment departments for winning a national award. The Herald regrets the error.

Obituary notes for Glen Miller and Lena Heminger
Graveside services for 62 year old Glen E Miller of Ottawa will be held at Highland Cemetery with chaplain Marvin Ross officiating. He served in the Marines during Korea and worked 39 years at Willis Nursery. Lena M Heminger 93 of Topeka and formerly Ottawa and Wellsville died Oct 19 1996 and will be buried at Wellsville Cemetery. She married twice and was a homemaker with seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
