Lela Belle Baber Duffey, 101, of Richmond died October 6, 2003. Funeral 10 a.m. Friday at Richmond United Methodist Community Church. Born December 8, 1901 near Harris, she taught in Anderson County one room schools and in Richmond before serving as Richmond Grade School principal. She married Wilber Porter Duffey in 1923. he died in 1961. Survived by daughter Betty Sutton, Ottawa, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Visitation 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Roberts Funeral Home. Interment Garnett Cemetery. Memorials to Community Church or Richmond Library.
