He attended schools in Independence Missouri and later served in the Job Corps. He married Anita Louise Tollett March 18 1989 in Olathe and is survived by wife Anita, son Wesley Funk of Ottawa, brother Lewis Roberts of Paola, granddaughter Madison Funk of Ottawa and daughter-in-law Ashlie Funk of Ottawa. He was preceded in death.
