Opal Fern Rothrock of Camano Island Washington died Monday September 29 2003 at age 86 She was born February 4 1917 near Newburg Arkansas to Troy and Fleeta Brooks She married Charles Rothrock who died earlier Survivors include daughter Sharon Dodge Camano Island sister Shirley Brooks Ottawa four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son Gordon Bud Rothrock and 10 siblings Dengel Son Mortuary is handling arrangements Condolences may be emailed through the family.
In Omaha Jamie Brown stood behind bullet resistant glass as an armed robber entered. He locked doors, closed the register, and called 911. The suspect was unable to escape and the clerk escaped through a garage window. Police sought the suspect on Tuesday.
