The Acorn Rustlers 4 H Club in Princeton accepted a Spring Fling float invitation. A hillbilly outhouse themed float, built by the Cox Foltz and Rochenower families, won first place with a $15 prize after a delay when the outhouse fell off a trailer.

Small Engine Project Fun in Wellsville Student Builds Go Cart
Ken Taylor of Wellsville joined a small engines program highlighting ownership of a go cart and engine work. He bought a used, nonrunning cart for 15 dollars, rebuilt the engine, spent 21 dollars on repairs, then sold the cart for 50 dollars and bought a bicycle. He learned maintenance in year one and power and design in year two, working with project leader Bill Kyle. He overhauled a mini bike engine, installed rings, ignition, and adjusted points, and plans to continue in 1972 73 4 H year with hopes to buy another go cart while refining ignition skills.
