Ottawa district plans $1 million savings via bond refinancing
Ottawa schools will refinance about $12.205 million of the 2005 general obligation bonds from 4.39 percent to roughly 2 percent. The district aims to lock in the lower rate today, with board approval expected December 10. Combined with earlier refinanced bonds, the district would save nearly $2 million on more than $20.7 million of bonds.
