LEAVENWORTH An application for a writ of habeas corpus by a Korean War veteran was denied by Judge Arthur J. Mellett. John E. Day Jr. 26 formerly of the District of Columbia is under death sentence for the Dec 23 1950 fatal shooting in Seoul Korea of Lee Hak Chun a Korean civilian.
