Two Cars Collide at Fifth and Main this Morning
Police report slight damage after a collision at Fifth and Main around 8 a.m. today. Vehicles involved were a 1954 Studebaker driven by Marva Jane Corbin, 19, of 335 S Cedar, and a 1951 Chevrolet driven by Larry Anderson, 14, of R1.2 Ottawa. Drivers reported the accident to the police station.

Study Effects Of Community Size Grant At KU
A $21,000 USPHS grant will fund University of Kansas psychology research on how community size affects children's activities. The university announced a total commitment of $73,000 for a three year investigation. Dr. Herbert F. Wright of KU is the project director.
Train strike kills Monroe section hands in crossing tragedy
Seven or eight New York Central Railroad section hands were killed when a truck transporting them to work was struck by a New York Central passenger train at a crossing in northern Monroe County.
