Kansas lawmakers back Skills for Success plan for early education
Two thirds of the Kansas House held a news conference to unveil the two year Skills for Success program aimed at early childhood development and literacy and math proficiency by third grade. It costs 29.4 million dollars, expands tutoring and extended hours, and adds oversight and testing while drawing some bipartisan support amid educator concerns it ignores broader needs.

Planners to hear Dodson request again
