Fire Ravages Rural Williamsburg Home On Hasluck Terrace
A home owned by Sheila Colleen Secrest at 713 Haskell Terrace, about 2 1/2 miles northeast of Williamsburg, was destroyed by a Sunday afternoon blaze. Deputies say a flooded basement caused by a water leak led to an electrical short that sparked the fire. Secrest found flooding in the basement and later smoke on the main floor before she evacuated to call for help. Pomona fire chief Stan Lantis noted the leak likely caused the short. Secrest is staying with her parents.
