Board Action Is Reversed By Kansas Dean
Harvey County 4 H Club Agent Armin Samuelson was fired after a divided board vote but was overridden by Dean L C Williams of Manhattan who overturned the 5 4 decision and then was himself overridden by the dean. The dispute centered on friction with home demonstration agent Mrs Larry Ryan who resigned at the June 15 meeting. Samuelson refused to resign and the board’s reversal followed a three hour public session and drew protests from extension supporters. Waldo Rempel condemned state extension interference as harming the Harvey County program.
