Narcotics Officers Form Statewide Association in Kansas
TOPEKA Kansas narcotics officers from more than two dozen agencies joined the Kansas Narcotic Officers Association to boost training and information exchange. Lt. K C Blodgett interim president said cooperation is critical to fight drug distribution. The meeting drew 41 officials from 28 agencies, with ideas like an officer exchange program. KBI’s new computer intelligence network aims to share drug data statewide, though some small towns lack computer access. Kansan sentencing guidelines next year will raise prison terms for many felony drug crimes.
