Sanctuary open to undocumented workers
Rev. Gil Dawes leads Iowa faith groups supporting sanctuary for undocumented workers amid legal debate. He cites eight previous sanctuary cases, with some gaining legal status. he urges action amid concerns of economic terrorism and calls borders man made by injustice rather than God. Dawes traces activism to Cedar Rapids and earlier unions, noting his left handedness as a personal quirk shaping his path.
