Mental health center seeks expansion funds via tax credits
Franklin County Mental Health plans a 1.8 million expansion at its Eisenhower Road clinic and parking lot with tax credits. Donors can claim 70 percent state credits plus possible 280 federal credits, reducing a 1000 dollar gift to about 20 net cost. Solutions Bank Ottawa provided 10,000 this week as part of the program. The center aims to raise 314,000 through credits, needs 140,000 more, and seeks a Community Development Block Grant along with county bonds and other revenues. The project includes a storm shelter and may receive a state grant within weeks.
