Sullivan, a political donor with ties to Gov. Joan Finney, died after a motor vehicle crash. He had led ethics reform efforts, chaired Finney’s task force, and served on the Public Employees Retirement System Board and as special prosecutor. He founded a Overland Park law practice in 1974.
