Franklin County selects replacement for engineer Ry BIL
Franklin County hires Robert Pepple as new county engineer and public works administrator replacing Bob Chamberlin who retires after nearly ten years. Pepple, 66, from Joplin Missouri, will start Monday at a 40000 dollar annual salary after interviewing Monday afternoon. Chamberlin praised county projects including replacing about 30 bridges and paving six miles of road around Lane. Pepple plans to search for a home with his wife and notes his engineering degree from Missouri and prior work with Peerless International and Merkle and Associates. Chamberlin will miss the county's staff and the sense of accomplishment from public service.
