One killed in weekend highway crash near Ulysses Kansas

An Ottawa man, Chipper D. Cox, 25, was sentenced to five to ten years on both charges after pleading guilty to robbery and attempted kidnapping of a 75 year old Edgerton woman in July. Cox attacked the victim on July 8 and July 10, then fled before being arrested days later after she reported a car and license plate on I-35.

Truck stolen from behind service center in Lane
Sheriff's officials report a light crystal blue 1992 Ford Ranger XLT pickup owned by Scott White of Lane was stolen Friday morning from behind Wingert's 1-35 Service Center and driven through a fence into Creason Tawn ey GM Center at 2324 E.
