Deaths: Mrs Mina Shobe 88 of Bonner Springs and Waverly
Mrs Mina Shobe aged 88 died yesterday at 11 a.m. at her daughter Mrs Don Kirbys home in Bonner Springs after years of illness. She lived much of her life in Waverly. Survived by two daughters, three sons, 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Funeral services set for tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Prairie View Methodist Church south of Waverly with burial in Glendale Cemetery south of Waverly.

Prison Term For Slaying Farm Girl In Colorado
Alvin W Brooks a 26 year old Denver taxicab driver was sentenced to 40 to 60 years in the state prison for the slaying of Zelma Broadfoot a 23 year old Eminence Missouri farm girl. Her battered nearly nude body was found in Clear Creek Canyon near Golden last July.
