IRS cuts RMH tax penalty in $90,000 relief
Ransom Memorial Hospital celebrated as the IRS abated a $90,000 penalty from its tax debt after payroll taxes were misreported. The hospital had paid about $132,000 of the total $222,000 owed, and received a $250,000 loan disbursement through a county grant. The administrator and CFO credited cooperation with the IRS and planned to apply the saved amount to overdue trade payables.
