Joshua Green defies kidney disorder to rejoin school
Joshua Green, a six year old from Ottawa, returns to Eisenhower School for first grade after July kidney surgery. Doctors say his ureter swollen to tennis ball size was not life threatening and he can resume normal activity. He missed summer fun but is hopeful for next summer with no physical limitations.

Wichita Drug Ring Bust Ties Up To 300000 Value
Local and federal officers seized marijuana, cash, gold and silver jewelry, and vehicles worth over 300000 after a 15 month probe into large scale marijuana trafficking in Wichita. Michael J Ruiz 31 was charged with possession of more than 125 pounds of marijuana with intent to distribute and a firearm during a drug crime. Capt James Elvins said the operation began in May 1991 with investigations leading to a raid that recovered 49000 in cash and two vehicles. A subsequent search of a south Wichita residence yielded five pounds of marijuana a 1958 Mercedes a 1969 Camaro Z 28 200 ounces of silver and coin collections.
