Nelson-Atkins Museum Goes Smoke Free and Moves Calder Sculpture
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art will prohibit smoking inside the building from Sept. 5, 1995, except at private events in designated areas. Ordinary, a mobile sculpture by Alexander Calder, was moved from the east entrance to storage as east lawn work begins late August for the Modern Sculpture Initiative. Plane down in Georgia near Carrollton disaster report
An Atlantic Southeast Airlines Embraer 120 with about 30 passengers crashed near West Georgia Regional Airport in Carrollton, Georgia, during a flight from Atlanta to Gulfport Mississippi. FAA said the crash occurred about 1 10 p m with no immediate word on casualties as area hospitals were put on alert.

Climbing deaths on Mount Rainier again near summit
In Sunrise Washington the second fatal fall on Mount Rainier in a week killed two climbers and left a third severely injured. At 13,400 feet they plunged about 2,400 feet into a crevasse. A fourth climber survived with serious head injuries and was hospitalized in Tacoma. Names of the dead were withheld.
