Judge Milo Harris presided as the police court case against Art Brown of 809 S Sycamore was continued to August 30 on a disturbance of the peace charge. The complaint, signed by neighbor Eva Abeldt, cites abusive language. Brown remains free on a $50 bond. Funeral at Towner's Chapel, time to be announced. burial Pleasanton cemetery.

Wage Pact For Western Electric Workers Raised
The Western Electric Co and 13,000 CIO communications workers signed a one year pact granting general wage increases of seven to 12 cents per hour. Floods Undermine Union Cemetery in Seymour Connecticut
The Naugatuck River flood undermined a large section of Union Cemetery in Seymour, uprooting tombstones and forcing coffins and vaults to be unearthed. Workers lifted corpses from upended coffins onto stretchers for burial in a bare grave on the cemetery’s far side.
