Richmond bar wins Sunday beer sales approval
Richmond City Council approved Sunday on site sales of cereal malt beverages for Vic and Vayda's Bar & Grill at 111 E. Central Ave. The new rule requires 30 percent food sales, prohibits sale between midnight and 6 a.m. and bans private closed parties as a condition to celebrate football Sundays this fall. Mayor Bill Wood praised the move and Vanda Bishop, co-owner, voiced enthusiasm for Chiefs themed gatherings with a big screen and food specials. The meeting also OK'd a quarter cent city sales tax vote, lake facilities repairs, a new city maintenance truck, and funding for reserve police vehicle costs.
