Art Stukey, longtime Waverly barber, dies at 84
James Arthur Art Stukey of Waverly died Monday at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington at age 84. He was born November 2, 1919, in Gridley, served as Army Air Corps airplane crew chief in World War II, and married Ruth Ann Kent in 1946. He was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church and local veterans organizations. survived by a son, two daughters, a brother, a sister, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Memorials may be given to local veteran memorial funds.
