Nancy Carol Davis 57 died August 8 2004 at Olathe Regional Medical Center. A memorial service is set for August 16 at Holy Trinity Church Paola. Born December 28 1946 to Donald and Naomi Salser she was educated as a nurse practitioner with degrees from Pittsburg State University and the University of Kansas. A U S Air Force veteran she worked nationwide and served Franklin County Mental Health Center Ottawa. Surviving are her husband Terry Davis Paola her parents two sisters and children Matthew Davis and Laurel Major. Cremation followed. memorials to the Paola Free Library.

Glen Alan Larson, 88, died August 2, 2004, at his home in St. Edward Nebraska. Funeral services were August 5 at United Methodist Presbyterian Church in St. Edward with Rev. Katherine Bullard officiating. He was born May 16, 1916, near Newman Grove to Edwin Elmer and Tina Johanne Larson. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, and was discharged as a staff sergeant. He farmed with his father‑in‑law until 1990. He married Jeanette Harris February 26, 1941, in Lincoln. she died August 10, 2000. Survivors include daughter Judy Tweet of Ottawa, two sons Lee and Thomas of St. Edward, three grandchildren, and two great‑grandchildren. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery with military rites by Crosier American Legion Post 226. Miller-Levander Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Mearl Snethen, 86, of Ottawa, died August 6 2004 at Hospice House Topeka after a life spent in Ottawa. A World War II heavy weapons infantry U S Army veteran, he received a bronze star and silver stars. Graveside services with VFW Post 5901 honors were held at Highland Cemetery. He was married to Elizabeth Hicks and survived by a daughter, sister, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorials to First Christian Church in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary.

Dennis Possum Parsons, 46, died August 7 2004 in Kansas City Missouri. He was born November 27 1957 in Kansas City Kansas. He lived in Edgerton Caldwell and Linn counties before moving to Franklin County in 1980. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in farming ranching and livestock. Survived by Cathy Heck his wife of 23 years three daughters two brothers a sister and four grandchildren. Funeral at Richmond United Methodist Church with burial at nearby Cemetery. Burial follows services at 10 a.m. Wednesday. He had been employed most recently as a computer inventory programmer for A&T Salvage Company. He previously worked at Ronnie Rockers Dairy Richmond Coop Consolidated Oil Services Shade Foods Wal-Mart Distribution Center and Anderson County Livestock Sales. Family to receive friends Tuesday at Dengel and Son Mortuary Ottawa and at the church after 5 p.m. today. Condolences accepted by Dengel Mortuary.
