Police and Franklin County deputies report a series of arrests from Friday to Monday. Included are Abel Cabel lo-Mendoza 42 of Kansas City Kansas on DUI open container and no insurance charges, Bryan L. Hammon 38 Wellsville for DUI, Tiffany S. Luthi 21 Osage City on county and Douglas warrants, Christopher T.E. Crookham 19 Pomona on a Pomona traffic warrant, Benjamin M. Wells 19 Ottawa on county warrants, Christina M. Swalm 35 Overbrook on failure to appear, Francis J. Rushe IV 27 Ottawa for marijuana and paraphernalia, Gloria A. Bishop 60 Ottawa for expired license, Kristina L. Meuffel 25 Ottawa for Shawnee County warrant, Gerald W. Trinkle 33 Ottawa for driving while suspended, Justin L. Heneley 25 Ottawa for driving while revoked, a 16-year-old Ottawa juvenile for running away, Nathan S. Whalen 23 Wells on Highway Patrol influence, and Michael A. Dietrich unknown for theft under $1,000. The report covers multiple jurisdictions and arrest types in the area.
A 52 year old Ottawa woman says suspects entered her home and stole about $500 in change. Casey's General Store Pomona reports a gas drive off of $10.15 by a suspect in a green SUV. A 73 year old Ottawa man reports gas cap theft and tire damage to his riding mower and four wheeler, loss about $280. A Centropolis man, Joseph Vandolah, 48, reported a deer collision at Louisiana and Stafford roads causing over $1,000 damage.
A sequence of incidents in Ottawa includes a copper theft from city utility poles on 10th and Highland, shoplifting with unpaid items on North Main, garage and vehicle property theft, a fuel theft on North Main, and a burglary with damages on South Mulberry, reported by five residents.
