At 9 02 p m Tuesday Franklin County deputies arrested Jonathan C Herrick 24 of Ottawa on a failure to appear warrant with a 1000 bond at the 100 block of South Poplar Street At 9 49 p m Tuesday William J Wilson 41 of Ottawa was arrested on a Platte County Missouri forgery warrant with a 10000 bond at the 300 block of South Main Street Police Department records show 2 40 a m Wednesday Jermain L Betts 39 also of Ottawa was taken into custody on an active Riley County warrant at the 2100 block of South Princeton Street
At 10:26 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North Center Avenue a 17-year-old Williamsburg boy alleged a 16-year-old peer attempted to run him down on a bicycle. A case file was sent to the Franklin County Attorney. At 5:37 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Rock Creek Road a 1984 Dodge pickup owned by Doyle W. Current of Ottawa was found in a field, with Current saying he last saw it Tuesday between 8 and 8:30 p.m. The vehicle damaged about 100 feet of fence with an estimated loss over 1000 dollars.
A Ottawa 54 year old man reported a thief entering his building and taking items on North Poplar. A 66 year old woman said an unknown suspect took things from her unlocked car on North Oak. A 59 year old man reported vandalism to a bus on West Wilson. A 22 year old woman said a tire was damaged on her vehicle on South Ash. A 20 year old woman reported a tire damaged on her Jeep on South Ash. At 10:04 p.m. Monday a two vehicle collision on 15th and Main left Elgin Calley with non life threatening injuries and prompted suspected DUI. Ottawa Fire Department assisted.
Friday entries include 500 block Main Street animal control and 400 block Main Street theft. Also 700 block Main Street warrant arrest. Saturday logs show 600 block Main Street 911 disconnect and 500 block East Third Street animal complaint. Monday lists 700 block Main Street information report and 300 block Pendleton Street juvenile complaint. Tuesday records 300 block West Seventh Street medical call.
