Ottawa High School baseball, ranked Mill Valley, battled to a 3-3 tie through six, but a three-run seventh inning by Mill Valley gave the Jaguars a 6-3 win at Harvey M. Drake Field. Coach Shawn Herrmann praised the effort, noted pitching depth concerns, and highlighted strong defense and bottom-order production as Ottawa eyes a busy schedule ahead including the Top End Kansas Klash in Johnson County. Connor Stepp went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Sam Carver pitched five solid innings before a sixth-inning relief.
