Central Heights pupils rally to aid Sheldon family after fire
Central Heights High School and its community raised about 800 to help Kathy Rob Sheldon and their children Cole and Emilee after a Tuesday fire destroyed their Princeton home. Principal Tom Horstick said yearbooks and keepsakes are being replaced and donations accepted.

Wreck survivor released after fatal two vehicle crash
An Ottawa man, Dan Willford, 42, survived a two vehicle collision on K-68 east of Pomona and was released from Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Troy Lewis, 44, Ottawa, died at the scene when his Jeep Grand Cherokee drifted into Willford’s eastbound Ford F-150 around 6:35 a.m. Wednesday. The Franklin County Crash Team concluded its investigation Thursday with no official cause released.
