Mrs. Ivan Johnson of Polk died early Tuesday morning at York General Hospital after a short illness. She was sister of Emil Monson. Funeral services are set for 2 PM Friday at the Polk Baptist Church with burial in Arborville Cemetery.

Prize Guernsey Entered in 1961 National Dairy Cattle Congress
Beverly Wieseman daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Wieseman has entered one Guernsey cow in the 1961 National Dairy Cattle Congress at Waterloo Iowa from September 30 through October 7. The exposition hosts national shows for Ayrshire Brown Swiss Guernsey and Holstein breeds with entries from the United States Canada and England. Premiums exceed 57000 with shows for Guernsey Jersey and Milking Shorthorn October 3 4 and Ayrshire Brown Swiss Holstein October 5 6. Waterloo also hosts intercollegiate 4 H and FFA judging contests beginning October 2. The eight day program includes farm machinery exhibits Horse Show 4 H Dairy Club Exposition Mid-West Garden and Flower Show Women’s Building Kiddie land Hippodrome Shows at 2 30 and 7 00 p.m. featuring Myron Floren and Jack Imel of the Lawrence Welk Show.
