A Polk county figure reports a record hog sale at Omaha Union Stock Yards where a load of fifty three hogs owned by George Groteluschen of Creston Neb sold for 11.10 per hundred pounds averaging 258 pounds. Webster Mills, son of Hon M A Mills, was a partner in Burke Rickly Co of South Omaha. Randell Family Social Notes and Local Happenings
Ray and Arthur Randell spent Saturday and Sunday with Fred Randell. The Stoner school opened last Monday with a large enrollment. Mrs John Simonsen and her sons Morris and Joseph visited her brother and wife Hugh and wife at Clarks. Farmers busily cut corn and filled silos while threshing continued for two weeks. Fred Shanks were on the sick list last week. Mr Fred Randell called on Mrs John Simonson midweek. Rev Jensen and family dined with Frank Helm. Eddie Zang filled his filo Monday. Mrs Ed Watts, long ill, shows signs of improvement.
