Paul Weber Named Top Swimmer After Record Summer
Paul Weber twelve year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weber of Ralston had a standout summer in swimming. He earned sixteen first place ribbons and four medals, set seven pool records in 25 yard and 25 meter events across free butterfly breast and back, placed second in free and fourth in butterfly at the Omaha City Meet, and won the trophy for Swimmer of the Year. He is the grandson of August Tenn.

Osceola School Board reviews lunch costs and track repairs
At a Monday meeting the Osceola school board approved a September 21 open house and a trip for Supt. Bugbee to Colorado October 3-5 with the next meeting moved to October 11. About 40 to 45 girls play volleyball and must have physicals with notices to parents. The lunch program serves 385-400 daily but loses money and may need district subsidies while prices may rise to 40 cents. A track upgrade is considered and the south gate at the football field may be closed to improve traffic flow.

Two Trucks Damaged in Osceola Parking Lot Collision
Two trucks were damaged on a Saturday near the Osceola Hotel when one was parking and the other leaving. A 1965 Chevrolet truck driven by Holly Grossnicklaus sustained about $100 in damage, while a 1970 Chevrolet pickup driven by Harold D. Simons of Oklahoma suffered roughly $250 in damage.
