Mrs. George Moore Laid To Rest In Osceola
Mrs. George Moore died October 17 1947 after a lingering illness in Osceola Nebraska. She was born November 21 1854 in Keokuk Iowa and lived in Warsaw Illinois Viroqua Wisconsin Polk County Nebraska and Osceola. She married George M Moore January 26 1879 and had five children. Survived by son Roy F Moore and daughter Lillian Madge plus four grandsons and one great granddaughter. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church with interment in Osceola cemetery.

Veterans Affairs guardianship figures for Nebraska
Ashley Westmoreland of the Lincoln VA region reported that over 1625 veterans and dependents are under guardianship. Among them 123 are World War II veterans, 689 are minor children of veterans, 352 are veterans of other wars, and 395 are their minor children. The VA has appointed 731 individual guardians and 570 legal custodians to administer estates for incompetent and minor beneficiaries in Nebraska.
