Burke Wilson sixty third wedding anniversary observed
Emma C Burke and Allison T Wilson marked 63 years of marriage on October 20 at Osceola home of the bride's parents. Ally came from Ohio in 1868 and Emma from Illinois in 1894. They lived on a Stromsburg area farm, then Arcadia, returning to Osceola in 1958. They have six children, three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Stolen car crash injures Schuyler man near Columbus
Donald Walton 21 of Schuyler is in St Marys Hospital Columbus after his 1952 Ford stolen in Schuyler left Highway 81 four miles south of Columbus at 12 30 A M. He was pinned in the wreck and sustains a broken ankle head cuts chest injuries and possible back injury. Walton had been released in June from the State Reformatory for burglary.

Trick Or Treat For UNICEF drives in Osceola towns
Local senior Methodist Youth Fellowship leads the UNICEF Halloween drive on Monday October 31 with nationwide support. Volunteers canvas in pairs starting at 6 15 p m at the Methodist Church and tally the results in the church basement before a Halloween party for canvassers. Contributions accepted by phone and through a church box with a deadline of November 6 1960.

Father of Local Woman Dies in Sumas Washington

Osceola High School attended Grand Island's Harvest of Harmony festival on October 22. The parade featured fifty two bands with thirty nine queen candidates. Two Cars Involved In Accident At County Intersection
Wallace Glatter of Shelby drove north in a 1960 Chevrolet pickup and Alfred Gabel of Shelby traveled east in a 1951 Studebaker. They collided at a county intersection one mile west and one mile north of Shelby at 6 30 P M Tuesday. Gabel was thrown from his car and sustained a left arm injury. Glatter was unhurt. No one was hospitalized. State Trooper Fairchild estimates about 500 dollars damage to each vehicle.
