Osceola High School defeated Silver Creek 19 to 14 on homecoming night as the Bulldogs built a 9 14 halftime lead and held on with a stout defense. Mike Smith led with a touchdown and PAT, Rich Hayes and Dan Bond added scores, while Hayes racked up 142 rushing yards on 16 attempts and Wieseman anchored the ground game. Silver Creek managed only four first downs and two late TDs, despite passing for all four first downs in the final quarter.
The Upper Big Blue NRD seeks resident opinions on the Davis Creek watershed flood control. Fifteen potential sites exist. two structures designed, a third to be designed soon. A 7:30 p.m. November 4 meeting at the ASCS office in Osceola invites all interested to form a Davis Creek Advisory Board.
