Donald LeSeur, son of Mr and Mrs N LeSeur of Osceola, sustained a broken arm and severe head cuts when his car overturned at an unmarked corner in Perry Iowa on Saturday. A following friend freed him and drove him to a hospital. Bill LeSeur and Allen Cornish brought him home later.

Polk County Boy to Compete at Ak-Sar-Ben Show
Polk County will be represented by Raymond Schott of Osceola with eight head of swine in the 4-H club competition at the eleventh annual live stock and horse show at Ak-Sar-Ben in Omaha. J William Buchta will head the University of Minnesota physics department succeeding retired Dr Henry Erikson. Buchta, a 1924 PhD, holds degrees from Nebraska in electrical engineering and arts. He joined Minnesota in 1924 and has studied at Caltech in 1933 34. He also serves as assistant editor for The Physical Review and Reviews of Modern Physics.

Obituary for John A. Tolin of Swede Home Nebraska
John Alfred Tolin born January 10 1870 in Skedum Parish Sweden died October 11 1938 after a nine month illness. He lived mostly in Swede Home Nebraska with brief stays in Colorado South Dakota and Iowa. Survived by five sisters one brother fifteen nephews and twelve nieces. Funeral services were held October 14 1938 at Swede Home Lutheran church with interment in Swede Home Cemetery.
