Chamber Held Meeting At Noon In Osceola
The Osceola Chamber of Commerce held its first noon gathering Sept 29 with 20 members present for dinner and business. Dennis Johansen reported on the Retail Trade Committee, Dean Wheeler was introduced as new J R Simplot fertilizer manager, and Dr Nossa’s efforts for a permanent visa were reviewed. The group approved ten Christmas decorations for courthouse square and sought volunteer ticket takers for the Oct 3 Osceola High football game. The next meeting is Oct 28 at City Hall.

Osceola Teams Sweep Silver Creek in Volleyball
The varsity and junior varsity volleyball squads defeated the Silver Creek Tigers last week. Varsity won in two sets with a strong first set and a regrouped second set. Junior varsity claimed two quick sets before the freshmen fell short in three close games.
