The Ovid district sugar beet receiving stations will open on Thursday October 5 under normal conditions slicing at the Ovid factory would start the following Saturday. Labor supply is extremely short and toppling help is very difficult to obtain as reported by Lincoln County Tribune. The Rt Rev Howard R Brinker Bishop of Nebraska will lay the new cornerstone at Holy Trinity church in Schuyler Friday. The church was organized before Schuyler Colfax County was formed.

John N Nelson born October 27 1866 in Sweden died September 29 1950 at St Francis Hospital Osceola aged 83 years 11 months and two days.
