Commander Mac Gleim son of Mr and Mrs Elmer L Gleim of Osceola Nebraska made his 100th landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS America while with Attack Squadron 82. The ship with the Sixth Fleet operates in the Mediterranean. He attended Norfolk Junior College in Norfolk Nebraska.

A contemporary service replaces the regular worship at First United Methodist Church Osceola on Sunday November 21. The Love themed service will be prepared and conducted entirely by the Senior United Methodist Young People's Fellowship.
