Pioneer Settler Called By Death
Mrs. Margaret Bull a pioneer of Polk county died at Fullerton Nebraska on November 11 1926. Born March 29 1841 in Tecumseh Ontario she and husband Peter Bull settled near Shelby and later on a Polk county Nebr homestead. Survived by three children and many grandchildren she was a devout Methodist and active in local organizations. Funeral services were in Fullerton and Osceola.

The Methodist church will hold its annual Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday at 7 30 pm instead of Thursday morning to ease housewives preparations. Special music will be provided by the choir.
Osceola Merchants Launch Fall Campaign
Osceola merchants near completion of a fall and winter advertising push with a weekly auction using script money. Purchasers receive script dollars to bid each Saturday for merchandise. Several hundred dollars in goods have been pledged for the auction. Full details will appear in the Record next week.

Armistice Day Observed With Parade and Football Victory
Osceola observed Armistice Day with a 1:30 parade including the Legion drum corps band and school children. Judge W. W. Norton spoke at the auditorium on the meaning of Armistice Day. Osceola High defeated Stromsburg 13 to 0 at Morningside field. An evening program and a large dance followed at the skating rink.

Radio Catches Fire at Home of John Buchta
A Sunday morning blaze at John Buchta's home involved a radio catching fire. The battery charger and battery were in the basement while the radio, upstairs, suffered damage only to the instrument. No cause is yet known.
