Dedication of Pipe Organ at St Pauls Lutheran Church
The dedication of the new two manual pipe organ at St Pauls Lutheran Church will take place Sunday afternoon November 20 at 3 PM. Prof Paul Ensrud of Luther College Wa hoo Nebr will attend for the recital. The Moeller organ is number 5019 and cost 8775 dollars plus local work. Rev N A Nelson who organized the fund is now in Ashland Wis and church officials invite all to attend with an offering taken at the service.

Road Improvements Near Stromsburg And Regional Bridge Plans
A stretch from two miles south of Stromsburg to Polk completes a 9 1 2 mile grade linking Polk east to the Meridian Highway at Emil S. Peterson corner. Westward grading nears the Hamilton County line but awaits route agreement west of Hordville. A new Blue River bridge near Nels Hughes place south west of Stromsburg is planned for winter or spring with gravelting to follow, making the road first class once finished. There is a report of a bridge project east of Central City over the Platte and a fill to connect with the county road graded toward Butler County, shortening the trip to Central City by eight miles.

Untimely Death of Mrs Augusta Cederberg
Mrs Augusta Cederberg died suddenly at home on November 17 1927 at age 62. Born in Dederhult Sweden she immigrated to the United States in 1884 and settled in Saronville Nebraska. She leaves husband Swan two sons Carl and Arthur two daughters Ella Thelander and Esther Swanson five grandchildren and five siblings. Funeral services were held November 15 at the Swede Home Lutheran Church conducted by Rev A Sward.

Polk York Seward County Dairy Association Meeting Held in Utica
The Polk York Seward Cow Testing Association met in Utica on November 8 to recruit members for a monthly test plan and to track dairy production records. Official tester C W Hodkins reported cows culled for low production. M L Flack spoke on dairy husbandry and starting a small dairy herd. Herman Thelen and County Agent F B Kelly attended. Next month the annual meeting will elect officers.

District court ends term with verdict in child custody case
The fall term of district court closed this week with equity cases disposed of by Judge Landis. A jury was called for one case, Kula versus Jarecky, over parentage of a child. After deliberations Tuesday the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff. Judge Landis sharply admonished the defendant from the bench and suggested a possible criminal action.
