Former Osceola resident dies in El Monte California
Mrs Ethel McCormick 73 died at noon Tuesday November 9 in El Monte California after six months of illness. She lived near Osceola for years, moved after husband John McCormick died. Remains to be brought to Osceola for burial and funeral services set for Saturday at 2 pm at the Funeral Home.

Highway 30A Association Forms at Wahoo Meeting
A diverse group from Osceola to Omaha formed the Highway 30A Association in Wahoo to oppose removing 30A markings. Officers include Emil Placek president Perry Sapp vice president and Myr Edstrom secretary treasurer. About 110 attendees drafted resolutions to preserve the route and planned petitions to the governor and advocates for Osceola dedication on November 19.
