Osceola Womans Club Seeks Welfare and Red Cross Drive
The Osceola Womans Club met at the school house on Monday. They voted to sponsor this year’s Christmas seal sale with proceeds to local welfare and health work and named Mrs. W O Fudge as chairwoman. Representatives will lead the Red Cross membership drive November 11 to Thanksgiving.

Stromsburg resident J P Johnson aged 84 died Sunday at his Stromsburg home. Born in Sweden in 1850 he immigrated in 1888. Funeral at home and Swedish Lutheran Church with Rev Alfred Trued officiating. Survived by two sons and three daughters in Nebraska and nearby towns.

Twins Parted by Death Thompson Brother Dies at 83
George Thompson 83 one of the famed Thompson twins died Monday in a Columbus hospital after two months illness. The pair taught school in Polk Butler and Dawson counties from 1894 to 1919. George had been totally blind for eleven months and cared for by his brother Charles. Funeral services were held yesterday in Columbus.
