The Polk County Board of Commissioners convened in regular session after adjournment to conduct official county business and discuss agenda items awaiting action. Officials reviewed reports, authorized expenditures, and set next meeting dates as part of routine governance.
County Commissioners audited and allowed warrants from multiple funds. Listed are salaries for county officials and staff, clerk and deputy payments, supplies, and court costs. Also noted are emergency relief and equipment fund expenditures and a culvert and ditch construction petition under review. The meeting adjourned with approvals recorded for June 7, 1949.
Mrs Henry Triba had surgery at St Francis hospital last week and was dismissed Monday afternoon. Weekend visitors at the McVeigh home included Mr and Mrs Lloyd Ruzicka of Omaha.
