E. Placek of Wahoo will deliver the Memorial Day address next Wednesday at the Osceola Auditorium. The American Legion and Auxiliary will host a program of speaking and music with ex service man Placek as speaker. The event includes a Legion quartet, Gettysburg Address, and patriotic songs. Memorial Sunday services will be held at the Lutheran Church at 11 o'clock.

Riverside High School Graduation Draws Crowd and Honors
A large Riverside crowd attended the first Riverside High School graduation held Thursday evening May 18. Speakers included Judge W W Nemrton who delivered an inspiring address. Lillie Carlson gave the salutatory, Christina Luft read the class prophecy, and Clara Reed was valedictorian with high scholastic standing. Supt Huston awarded the diplomas.

The Bahm filling station in Shelby was robbed last Sunday night. Two valuable radios were stolen after entry through a rear window following a failed front-door attempt. Sheriff Van Hoosen deployed two bloodhounds but police have no trace of the thieves.

Mrs Roy E Covey aged 46 died Friday at her home near the city after a long illness. She was born near Gresham to Mr and Mrs A A Hartman. She leaves her husband, son Harold, daughters Mrs Henry Smith and Mrs Herbert Anderson. Funeral was held Sunday at the home and Eden Baptist Church with Rev A W Lyons officiating.
