Lou Israel, newly in command of the Burg band, visited the city Monday to share glimpses of his musical skill. Longtime commander since Louis XIV’s era, his approach helped spark a split into two bands, signaling his role as a band propagator. If he unites the group, a strong year for the band is anticipated.

Miss Lillian Chauner stayed with Miss Anna Urban yesterday. Mrs S B E Richmond was reported ill earlier this week. Harry Musselman traveled from Osceola to the city for business yesterday.

He explains leaving the Richvale rice country due to mud and rain and describes Dry Season conditions and new Alfalfa and fruit districts.
