The Osceola Garden Club met at Miss Bernice Brown's home with seven teen members. They toured Iris varieties at S. W. Calhoun and later held a business meeting at Brown farm east of town. Plans were made to attend the state Iris and Peony show in Lincoln and visit Saas Brothers gardens in Washington Nebraska. Miss Brown led a flower guessing contest.

A cooking school will be held at the Nowa Nebraska Light and Power Co. office in Osceola on Thursday and Friday May 31 and June 1. Invitations are extended to homemakers by R A Graham district manager and C M Humphrey local superintendent. Miss Juanita Bruce will conduct the program focusing on cookery canning oven meals and summer menu shortcuts. Free recipes and a question and answer hour are features.
