The Republican Electors of Osceola precinct are called to meet in caucus to select delegates to the County Convention. The caucus will be held in the Court Room at 4 30 p m Friday May 23 1902. Or E Mickey Committee.
Morris Smith of Pleasant Home precinct shipped four loads of steer cattle to South Omaha, bringing 7.10 per hundred. J. Iman, a top Omaha salesman, secured the best prices for Polk county stock, with this sale the largest bunch at that rate in years. The Droyers Journal reports M. F. Smith of Stronsburg Nebr with four loads topping 7.10 after seven months on feed, using ground corn and cotton seed meal, averaging 1.314% daily gain. this shipment is one of twelve loads disposed of this season, not the peak of his feeding.
Osceola residents donate books and funds to establish a traveling library station for the Osceola school district. The library will remain until mid August and plans call for quarterly travels over five years with the aim of becoming a free public library.

A duel in Chicago leaves Antonio Mechi dead and Joseph Deandre wounded. G.W. Gregg offers fruit trees and plants near the depot in Osceola Nebraska.
