Nebraska hatchery to receive 3 million wall eye eggs this week
The North Platte hatchery of the Nebraska Game Commission will receive 3,000,000 wall-eye pike eggs this week from the Minnesota conservation commission. After arrival the eggs will begin to hatch and this will continue for about a week. Newly hatched fish will be fed and cared for until they reach two to three inches, expected by July, then moved to various Nebraska waters.

Duncan man 41 killed in head on collision
Adam Olsufka 41 of Duncan died when his car collided head on with a truck. He was a World War II veteran and bachelor. The truck driver was uninjured according to the Nance County Journal.

The American Legion Auxiliary and Campfire Girls plan Poppy Day in Osceola on Saturday May 20. Proceeds go entirely to disabled veterans in hospitals nationwide.
